No collection of Beautiful Music would be complete without CDs by Kayte Strong! She’s a singer, songwriter, keyboardist, guitarist, ukulele artist, arranger, producer, engineer, and recording artist, with fifteen albums to her name.
Kayte’s alto voice has been compared to Carly Simon and Karen Carpenter with the same easy on the ear style as those artists. She knows her way around a ballad and a lyric, putting her own stamp on Standards like “Over the Rainbow”, “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “What a Wonderful World”. Her original tunes are equally memorable
Kayte spends much of her time touring these days, when she’s not in the recording studio in Nashville, Tennessee. She also records and performs with drummer Dennis Bryon, as the duo “Strong & Bryon”, creating gentle, soothing instrumental CDs, perfect for those quiet, meditative times when you just want to relax. Their music is not unlike that of Enya and George Winston.
Many of her earlier CDs were released on Kayte’s private label, Artfest Records. She now records for Silver Hill Records, releasing her first CD for that label, “Born to Love You”, in 2010. Silver Hill promotes Kayte as “Americana Meets Soft Rock” and we quite agree!
The Breeze is delighted to be able to feature Kayte’s music on our Internet radio station.
